Short History
The past few centuries have witnessed the ups & downs of the historic Hoian. The city has a legacy of cultural influence from various historical periods . During the period of 16th to 18th century, it flourished as an international trade port . Going further back in time , during the Champa period, it was a base for ocean silk route , & before the Champa period it was a thriving point for late Sa Huynh culture . The 16th & 17th centuries marks the highest point of development of Hoian. At this period, Hoian was an international commercial Location
